Registered Occupational Therapist (AHPC)
Akio graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy with Honours degree in 2021. He has 3 years of experience as a paediatric occupational therapist, working with young children and adolescents in a clinic setting in Singapore and Australia.
Akio has experience providing occupational therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), hyperactivity and multiple disability.
Akio is trained in Handwriting Without Tears. His clinical interest lies in adolescents and play to support them in achieving their fullest potential. Akio is constantly incorporating the client’s goals into meaningful routines and activities in the clinic (e.g. cooking, arts and crafts and sports).
Akio is experience in conducting a variety of assessments including the sensory profile 2 and Beery VMI.
Akio believes in creating a safe space for everyone to explore and challenge themselves while supporting them in gaining their full potential in their everyday life!
In his spare time, Akio enjoys playing sports, particularly touch football. He enjoys travelling with friends and family!
