Registered Speech & Language Therapist (AHPC)

Anabella graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Master of Science (Speech & Language Pathology). Since then, she has worked with children and adults in a variety of settings, including restructured hospitals, a special school, and private practice. She has enjoyed journeying alongside persons with swallowing or communication needs and has never looked back since.

In her career with the pediatric population, Anabella has grown to appreciate the utmost importance of collaborating with parents and other stakeholders to help children develop their full potential and deliver holistic care for each child. Anabella adopts a play-based, child-led approach as she firmly believes play is the way to a child’s heart and best facilitates learning. She enjoys tailoring sessions to each individual’s unique interests and abilities.

In her practice, Anabella has gained experience working with children displaying language delays and disorders, speech sound disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech. She has a particular interest in supporting school-aged children with language disorders and literacy difficulties. She has also helped children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental difficulties such as ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and GDD.

Anabella had also provided therapy to adults in a restructured hospital. She managed swallowing, speech, and language difficulties in patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. These include patients with neurological conditions, geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities, as well as patients who have undergone surgery.

Apart from her role as a speech therapist, Anabella relishes her role as a new mother. She cherishes time with family and now understands the challenges other parents have shared with her. She misses rock climbing and embroidery but is developing a love for exploring the island with her son on bicycle rides!

Anabella is able to provide therapy in English and Mandarin.

Anabella has worked with the following organisations in various professional and personal capacities:
