Laying the Foundation (Parents)

A healthy and nurturing relationship with your children is built through numerous interactions in their early years. This parent-child relationship lays the foundation for their life choices, behaviours, socio-emotional wellbeing and mental health.

School-aged children go through various changes and transitions in their environment and may experience difficulties with adapting to their new life experiences. Positive parent-child relationships and consistent support from parents and caregivers are important in developing your children’s basic skills, especially in communicating their needs, and providing a positive environment to develop their sense of independence.
